There are cases when it might not be relating to that specific bacterium, but oven warmed rice (rather than microwaved) will be manky anyway. Cook some fresh rice to have with the curry?

I heard an interesting discussion on social media/tech recently. The conclusion was given that due to extended life expectancy it is normal for a society to reach normal milestones later, so we expect education to take longer, people start to drive later etc so essentially ‘childhood’ from the view of not doing things adults do becomes extended. But that tech has likely accelerated the effect that would have been expected over the last 10 years.
To me adulting = responsible, usually boring, unavoidable stuff. Stuff you’d prefer to pretend doesn’t need doing.

As a new law (albeit an extension of existing laws eg 1998 DPA), a lot of GDPR has yet to be tested in court, but a responsible business should be aware of its responsibilities and the potential penalties for reckless non-compliance (Article 84, accessible via the above link).
USB ports on NAS devices seem to be slow, if my MyCloud is anything to go by. It supports USB 3 protocol, but not the sustained rate. It’s a lot quicker to put the usb drive on my computer, and copy over GBE.
The advantage of using the port on the NAS is that, once set up, and initial backup completed, deltas are automatic, and require no user input. Just check they are still running…
Anyone who feels sufficiently strongly about this issue will make the effort to opt out. For anyone who really doesn’t give much of a stuff either way and doesn’t bother to opt out (and wouldn’t have bothered to opt-in) then there is a multitude of desperate people who will be very grateful. Organ donation not only saves lives but improves life quality. As for your wife’s concerns regarding the use of sub-standard organs, I very much doubt thousands of £s would be wasted on transplanting any organ showing significant compromise for reasons of age or disease.
It certainly is the default position for insurance companies with the exception of a deliberate brake check in which case it is considered dangerous driving (even if not prosecuted), however it is not easy to prove without witnesses. More recently what the papers have dubbed as “Cash for Crash” induced accidents have been revealed by fraud investigators primarily using dash cam footage and a number of people have been prosecuted. Due to the lack of dash cam use in the past (and still) this was easy pickings for fraudsters, and it extended out to various organised fraud rings with repairers, recovery, doctors, and lawyers involved and taking a cut.

I have a question is it worth adding redex or premium fuel before a test? Emissions tests are getting stricter.
My Peugeot 205 Diesel had over 340 000 kms when I decided to retire it ! Original clutch and very little else went wrong ! 20 years loyal service ! Atmospheric diesels are / were rock solid !
However, as we live in the countryside and reliable cars are indespensable. I’ve just bought for the second time a Peugeot 308 estate. Lovely car. Diesel of course, but the additive makes it more eco-friendly ! Probably keep it 3 years.
How about this Shepherd’s Hut? It’s in the middle of a small wood on a farm. Adjacent hut has nice bathroom and kitchen facilities. Not accessible with a car but you only have to walk across one field and a wheelbarrow is supplied for the luggage. It’s in West Sussex so not too far to drive from Oxon.

While I’m sure none of them are going to complain about the deal, and I certainly don’t begrudge them it, I suspect putting more money into improving the working conditions and hours would benefit many of them even more.
My husband’s cousin is a junior doctor in Edinburgh, but has worked as a doctor in South Africa and New Zealand too. She says working life here is dire compared to other health services that she has worked in. More money, while always welcome, doesn’t reduce stress from overcrowded and underfunded services or make up for the fact that doctors can’t plan their lives more than 6 weeks in advance etc.
I might be over cautious here, but personally I wouldn’t want to start digging about under the floor near my house in an ex mining area.
Do you know anyone near you that worked for the coal board in a technical stopping buildings from falling down kind of job? Local knowledge may be a good idea.
What Jenny said – they do get more exercise off-lead, but only a selfish arse doesn’t get their dog under control when required. My dog’s quite reactive to other dogs when she’s on her lead, so I keep her out of the way of other dogs and focus on distracting her, not helped when other dog owners let their dogs bound up to her – at which point she goes bananas and they look really offended. It’s not very helpful. Just because I love my dog, doesn’t mean everyone else has to.
