    They won’t do anything. If they want you on the rate they offered then that’s that.

    I’ve decided ithat asking people’s salary is a pointless interview question. Anyone currently employed would want an incentive to move. I now tell them what I’ve budgeted for the role and ask if that suits them. This is because when the tables are turned I prefer to be employed at a rate offered that meets or exceeds my expectation without first disclosing the expectation.

    a day later, had an engineer ringing from California requesting more details and actively working with me to help solve the problems.

    @abdul
    That’s interesting. The Apple fanboys who appear on the WD NAS forums, demanding that WD fix the problems caused when Apple change their OS, argue that there’s no point raising issues with Apple, claiming that Apple won’t engage with their customers.

    I have always thought this a bit odd, and have asked the fanboys why they let Apple get away with that.

    So it’s good to hear that the fanboys are talking nonsense… WD have enough problems of their own making, without being blamed for problems of Apple’s making…

    A few months ago our 9 year old diesel Picasso had a number of faults which made it unreliable and unsaleable as it was. Rectifying the problems would cost what the car was worth – so basically it was worth nothing. We went to look at second hand cars and dropped in a Toyota dealer, he offered us £2k scrappage against their cheapest little aygo, which added to a 0% finance for 3 years started to make sense and that’s the route we took.
    I never wanted a brand new car and it is very small, but we only need a little run around for town shopping etc. and we now have a camper, so for us the scrappage made sense. But may not for everyone.

    Mostly based on attraction and I suspect half the reason why marriages/relationships have a short life span in this day and age

    Aren’t we all slightly narcissistic? Dressing up nicely to go out for a meal, making sure we look nice.
    Could be an argument for social situational acceptability, but by definition, slightly narcissistic?

    However, to the topic, I also feel a ‘selfie’ is such a broad spectrum, it cannot be considered wholly narcissistic.
    You could take a selfie without any thought to your personal appearance? But to capture an event, or reaction, with friends?

    You’ve done the first compulsory thing. Telling everyone you have switched from iphone to android.
    Before you enter the contacts, make sure you set up and sign into a Google account then they will be synced on that and you need never re-enter them again.
    If you have switched to Samsung you can use Samsung Smart Switch app to automate the process.

    OP: Hard to say, I always assumed he was unexceptionally bright but had hit on a winning tactic speaking plain like to common folk but it’s ever more apparent that he’s really not. I don’t know how good a social manipulator he is, I’ve no direct or indirect experience using money (and god knows what else) to bully people to have things done but I suspect that gets you a long way. Increasingly I suspect he’s average at best, possibly even a little dim. It’s hard to tell where his evident issues with impulsive bragging and lying (deliberate tactic or personality disorder?) end and a simple lack of comprehension begins.
